This past week I visited Charleston for my second anniversary with Caitlyn. It is crazy how fast it went, mostly due to COVID. However, it felt great to get away from Florida and just be together. I didn’t do an electronics purge as I did in Georgia, and I think I could feel the difference. I still did fun things, but I think having electronics just caused me to want to stay in and relax more. Maybe I’ll need to consider doing an electronics purge again this year.
Either way, I had a lot of fun doing things that I do not normally do. For example, I went to a wine bar and tried, had quite a few fancy meals, and went to the beach. It felt good to cut loose and just look to try new things.
The last day there was the most memorable. We went to this garden that also had a zoo. It was cool because many of the animals were just roaming around naturally. We were standing right next to this deer when it just burped. Caitlyn and I could not stop giggling. Then we also saw a donkey that came up to Caitlyn and let her pet him. After that we went to an aircraft carrier which was insane! I think it sparked something in Caitlyn because she loved it. It was fun to climb up and down ladders to get to areas on the ship and to see what it would be like to live on this massive ship. For me, I had to avoid bumping my head everywhere I went, so I do not think I would have enjoyed living on one.
After what felt like a quick week, we woke up pretty early on Thursday so that I could rush home before my class. Overall, it was a good trip. I feel work creeping up on me a little quicker than I would like. At least this upcoming week is a short week because my company has a holiday for Good Friday.
