I told myself that I should remember to catalog snippets of where my life is at, even if I feel at a loss for time to actually sit down and blog out my thoughts. So here I am.
I was Caitlyn’s personal trainer for a little bit, and then we had a bit of a COVID scare. So I made sure to quarantine myself. In the meantime, I started doing some GRE online videos, painting my Marvel miniatures for the Marvel United game I kickstarted, and taking an Excel mastery course that I also kickstarted. Additionally, while working from home, I attended a webinar for the USC Masters of Psychology program I was considering going to.
After attending the webinar, I realized that the program was not for me and I started to look online for a way to introduce myself to psychology before committing to a full-time degree. In my pursuit, I started to learn a little bit more about Certifications you can get. These appear to be ‘mini degrees’ for the most part and they fit well inline with my desire to be more rounded. I can pay less money to get introductory courses into topics that I am interested in, and in the end, have something to put on my resume.
I think this will fit in well with my plans for Spring. A Certification is only ~a year worth of a commitment. I am thinking that it could be a good stepping stone to reintroduce myself back into school life, and there are a lot fewer applications. My current goal (since it changes so frequently), is to get a Certification and then go for my MBA. That way I can take classes and also have time to prepare for the GRE.
Right now, I am looking at an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certification.
Additionally to that, I also took a workshop focused around learning about Organizational Communication with Harvard. So I am also excited for that too!
Fun stuff on the horizon.
