I Visit a Hypnotherapist Part 1/4

Reading Michael Newton’s book was such a moving experience that I wanted to try and experience it first hand. I had always heard about hypnotism but I honestly didn’t believe much in it. I told myself (see my post on story) that I could not be hypnotized. I thought I just had a mind that couldn’t do it.

Regardless of this initial belief, I decided to take seek out a hypnotherapist. Since I was starting to listen to signs (thanks to The Light Between Us), I trusted my intuition on finding the correct person. I initially looked in the list of Michael Newton LBL (Life Between Life) hypnotherapists, but I just couldn’t find anyone that lived close enough.

I eventually found someone who had a dragonfly symbol. This was the symbol of Caitlyn’s mother and I was just drawn into it and I set up a consultation.

The lady was more than just a hypnotherapist. She was a deemed life coach and did many different things. She taught about chakras, she did tarot or angel readings, she taught about crystals, etc.

When I had my initial consultation with her, we decided on four different sessions. A few of them would deal with a regression/meditation but some of the other ones would deal with more of an open discussion where we would talk about spiritual topics.

In the first session, she taught me a little bit about crystals and explained what a crystal grid was. Back then, I did not know much about grids. In fact, she would hand me a crystal and ask me how it would feel. To me, it just felt like I was holding a rock. However, we chatted about the different kinds of crystals and which ones were I most drawn to. I think it was after this meeting that I decided to get a ring with a Lapis Lazuli inlay for my upcoming wedding. While I didn’t know it at the time, I knew that I always was drawn to Lapis.

In this first session, she also taught me about angel energy and she gave a reading for me where she pulled angel cards. I had never heard about angel cards, but they were kind of similar in idea to tarot cards. She pulled three cards that I will have as the image for this post. The first one was Indigo. She said she got the feeling that I was an old soul that spent many lifetimes in other planes of existence. She recommended that I read Keepers of the Garden.

The next card was ‘Have you asked your Guides?’. Basically it said if I ever need anything, all I need to do is ask. We don’t realize that if we truly ask for help, the help will come at some point. A lot of times we are too impatient, but if we allow ourselves to be patient then we will often receive what we ask for.

The last card was the Crown Chakra. It was no surprise to me since this is always been the Chakra that I focus on the most with.

Additionally, we talked about my consideration to apply to a new position. At the time, it was a very difficult decision for me. At the point of talking with her, I had already decided I wanted to go for it. I had doubts that I was the correct person for the position, but I was excited about the ability to meet and deal with people on a global scale. She told me that she felt like the position was meant for me. She said she saw the image of a beacon of light connecting with other individuals around the world. She mentioned that I would be able to share my inner light with many people around the world.

Additionally, we chatted a bit about my father and my experience there and she helped me to solidify that the messages and signs that I was starting to receive from my dad were very real.

I don’t know if these trips caused me to strengthen my beliefs. However, looking back on the experience, there were so many little things that I hold to me to this day, and for that I am very grateful for the experience.
