I Visit a Hypnotherapist Part 4/4

This session started off with the hypnotherapist talking about Zoom. It’s funny that Zoom instantly became a societal norm because of COVID, but back when I recorded this session it was a foreign program.

Anyway, this session was similar to my past life regression, except this time it was a ‘reunion’ with my dad. This is probably the session I liked least. Throughout my father’s passing, I had many people that felt like they needed to help me heal. While I was definitely shaken (and still am) that my father is no longer with me, there were no wounds that I needed to heal. So I felt like the hypnotherapist was pushing me in a direction that I didn’t want/need to go.

That being said, the experience was interesting. As described in the previous session with automatic writing, the idea was to just let my voice speak without thinking for my father. Allow me to be purely an antenna without adding in my own thoughts. My father left a message to each of my family members. Here are some of the interesting highlights:

  • Connor was eventually going to learn all of this, it just came sooner than expected.
  • My mom and my dad have been together through many ‘cycles’.
  • My dad met my nephew before he was born.
  • Caitlyn does a good job of balancing me out and will help me to grow
  • Worrying about dad keeps him tethered to us longer.
  • Anything that we see that makes us think of him, it is him for sure.

Reflecting on the whole of my session, it is tough for me to accept this as my father. The skepticism is just too high. However, I do believe that some of what came out is from him. It is just near impossible for me to decipher between what is me and what is him. Maybe that is just thinking too much about it and therefore defeats the purpose? I am not exactly sure.
