This book was one that my hypnotherapist suggested to me. Let’s just say this went into full on tin foil hat conspiracy theorist mode.
The book is about a hypnotherapy session where Dolores Cannon put a patient into hypnosis and he started to explain over the course of many sessions how he was essentially an alien in a human body. I don’t think what stands out to me from this book is the realistic nature of what could happen. However, it did make me contemplate the nature of souls. If there are other worlds out there that we can inhabit and learn lessons on, it shouldn’t be that surprising that we could choose which world to live on. I’ve heard it said that Earth is a very challenging place to live because of how ‘dense’ it is. How it requires us to be so separate from our ‘Source’. The story of this hypnotherapy session explained the story of someone that was not accustomed to Earth living and really struggled because of it.
I think I enjoyed listening to the story as if I liked listening to a fantasy novel. It was interesting, and posed an interesting “what if?”, kind of situation. I suppose in reality the ideas that she presented were only one small step into crazy town from where I already was.
I think my hypnotherapist wanted to imply that I am one of these beings that lived a past life in another world. Maybe. I would imagine that if that were a possibility, most of us would be. I can’t imagine it would be a great idea to continuously reincarnate on the same planet all the time.
Either way, I must have enjoyed this author’s writings enough to get another one of her books later on. I do just remember that she was incredibly long winded, and sometimes gave me considerable eye rolling.
