I have mentioned previously that the wife of my co-worker is a medium. The days after my father’s passing, my co-worker told me that my father was seeing her wife. While I was skeptical when I was told that her wife knew exactly when it happened, I didn’t disregard the possibility. I was told that when people pass on to the other side, they are able to recognize the connections we have with people. They understand how they can get messages to us.
I think skeptics would then ask, why wouldn’t messages get sent to us more frequently? Well, the other side is not going to send us messages unless it is useful for our growth. If it is for our highest growth, there is no reason to send the message. Also, a lot of people live in a bubble. Extraordinary events can really severely influence someone’s life. It’s not meant for everyone to go down this path for a reason.
Occasionally, I would get messages from the medium via my co-worker. After I read The Light Between Us by Laura Lynne Jackson, I shared the book with my sister. It influenced her so much that she wanted to see a medium, so she went to see the one that had already been in contact with my dad.
What I love about this story is that when my sister went, she did so a little bit undercover. Since she got married, she no longer has the same last name. By the time my sister went to see the medium, it was exactly 4 months since his passing (June 19, 2018). The medium doesn’t ask for any personal information previously because she wants to let everything come from the other side without being influenced at all.
The following is a loose transcription of the audio recording between the two:
When their sessions started, my sister had a picture and object that she brought. Sometimes the medium can use this to help focus on reaching the intended purpose. The medium says that my father tells her she will not need any of these objects and that everything will make sense later.
The medium starts off by noticing that the soul that is with them was a recent passing, a male, and the person my sister wished to reach. It was a tragic and unexpected passing. It was my sister’s father. It was less than 6 months ago. The medium saw two months, February and May, that related to this soul (his death month and birth month respectively).
The medium explains that she can often feel the feelings of the deceased. She gives an example: if someone were to die from a gunshot, she’d feel like she got shot by a gun. She mentioned that she was depressed all day and that the soul she is talking with suffered from depression and mental illness. She said he suffered from this his whole life. She then gets that the soul took his own life.
He apologized for the pain that he caused everyone. He was not thinking clearly about what he did. The medium gets a message that my sister is in the medical field. The soul explains that he did attempt to do this prior as well. It is important to mention that he is happy and where he is supposed to be. He didn’t want to be on medication.
She mentions that this is something that runs in the family and other people need to be cautious. The medium recognizes that my sister has other siblings. 4 siblings altogether. The medium notices that he had a perfect life and was a big family man.
The medium recognizes that a baby was just born (my nephew) after the soul’s passing. He wanted to point out that he actually met my nephew on the other side.
He mentioned showing up in a dream and communicating with one of my sister’s siblings (I just wrote a post about the dream here!).
The medium recognized that the soul had been in her presence before. The medium asks, ‘Did I do a reading for you before?’. My sister responded indirectly. The medium then put it all together, “are you Connor’s sister?”. The medium began to cry a little bit once she recognized the connection.
She mentioned that my dad showed up the day it happened, but she didn’t know who the soul was. She even mentioned that she never even met me (Connor) before. She recognized why at the beginning my dad told her that she would not need any of the personal belongings.
The medium directly mentions that Connor has similar issues with depression and anxiety.
The soul points out, whenever everyone is together in the same place, he is there as well. He also mentions that he is excited to go to Greece (where Caitlyn and I go on our honeymoon in 2019). She notices that he has a quirky sense of humor and he is happy and at peace. He mentions that we will be together again eventually, but clarifies that it is not any time soon.
There was more to the session, but most of it is for my sister. I remember when my sister sent me the recording I had feelings of dread. It felt like I was receiving some sort of prophecy. However, in the two years since this reading, I have learned so much about myself. I have so much gratitude because my dad set my soul free in a way. I have learned how to be more mindful of my own mental health and to take care of myself. I know that I have the potential to fall a little and make mistakes but because of this experience, I also know the answers exist within me to succeed.
