Running into the Law of Attraction

I think that life wants to be repetitive. If we talk about our two selves (the physical rational self and the spiritual higher self), the rational side requires normalcy to survive, and that is exactly what our species does. It survives. Repetition and patterns are what give us comfort because it is what allows for us to feel like we are secure.

I think this is where the Law of Attraction plays in. The Law of Attraction states that whatever intentions we put into the universe, the universe will manifest it for us. In it’s most simplistic view, its a “Ask and ye shall receive”. The least skeptical person in the world would have a problem with this statement. Obviously, it is a little more complex than that, but when you start to think about it, is it?

My favorite example of this comes to people whom I have known where bad things just happen to them. They often have the craziest stories of hardship. Why is that? Are they unlucky? Does luck even exist? Based on my pervious posts, I believe that these people unknowingly created the ‘story’ that they are unlucky and now because of Law of Attraction, they now manifest that outrageous things always happen to them. I know that this is an ‘easy’ or privileged thing to say. However, if you think about it, you can draw your own parallels for when this happens in your own life.

I remember when it came to chance based games or raffles, I often told myself and other people that I would win a lot because I was one of the luckiest people I knew. To this day I often win raffles or get the favorable hand in poker. It’s not just with good things though. Even bad things, like my recent struggles with work can occur. I kept telling myself that things were not going to get better, and they continued to not be great until I decided to change it from within.

My recent example with the Law of Attraction that occurred yesterday. My childhood friend Matt, reached out to me over Facebook earlier in the week and I had a great moment of thanking him for being a good friend to me when I was younger. He and I would find ourselves talking over the phone for hours just thinking about life. I told him that many of those moments likely helped influence the person I am today, and I was grateful for him. Gratitude is the first step to healthy manifestation.

While I was working in the yard yesterday, I listened to my entire Spotify playlist on shuffle. This playlist is every song that I have added over time from the beginning of when I had a Spotify. So many of these songs have made their way from back when I was with my friend. While I was working, the T-Swift song that I always attribute to Matt came on. I recognized that thru the Law of Attraction, I was manifesting the desire to continue this conversation and relationship with my childhood friend. It came about in such a natural way. So I used the opportunity to reach out to him, and we were able to continue having another great conversation.

Who knows what this will lead to next, but the Law of Attraction continues to make itself known in my life.
